Often, the power of Zen is not in what you do but in what you do not do. When the Instructor refrains from making comment on what the pupil says, we apply the first three of these rules simultaneously, to the enormous gain of the pupil.

First, there are no customs or ceremonies or "sacred texts" in ZenCai. We merely ask queries about your immediate experience, questions designed to promote higher awareness and understanding, but no-one tells you what to trust or disbelieve. You read your encounter in any way that appears proper to you.

Second, because the Instructor will not translate for you or make any recommendations whatever, you are required to look within for solutions, as opposed to outside yourself. You may at first need the Teacher to translate your solutions, but you have no option but to appear within, when nothing is coming.

Similarly, if the Instructor does nothing but ask concerns and redirect your mind when it wanders, you quickly realize that nothing will probably occur unless you make it occur.

This might seem like a small change, however for all people, it's a vital turning point. That is an entirely different experience than participating in an activity where one talks to someone else who makes recommendations and then provides comments. Relying on others' interpretations does not encourage us. We become empowered when we endure on our own. In ZenCai, the Teacher selects the approach and maintains the direction, but only the pupil produces the change.

ZenCai is a class of self-awareness and other self-improvement methods which are rooted in probably the most basic principles of Zen. ZenCai methods may be used not just to facilitate religious consciousness but to help resolve particular conflicts, the kinds of conflicts all of us face on a day to day basis.

Almost all Zen literature is specialized in the pursuit of spiritual freedom. There's occasional reference to implementing Zen in one's every day life, but there are precious few information on how that is to be done. For exam- ple, there's very little mention of how Zen maxims affect our interpersonal relationships. There's very little mention of how to enhance the personal relationships we have now, how to let go of our speci- fic baggage regarding old personal relationships---or how to relieve particular barriers to something, for that matter. For the absolute most part, general barriers are addressed only by the literature to spiritual enlightenment.

ZenCai is an effort to help us put those maxims to work solving particular issues. The techniques have application in every regions of professional, both personal and living.

It is maybe not essential to contribute to the tenets of Zen or any other idea to get practical benefit from the methods of ZenCai. Recently, like, the business community has embraced a ber of the concepts and strategies outlined in several Eastern texts, most notably The Book of Five Rings by the truly amazing Samurai Musashi.

ZenCai's many practices are divided into five groups, called "levels." To which level a technique belongs is dependent upon the amount of education and experience required of the specialist using the technique or leading the class.

Like, while the ZenCai Handbook Training is part of Level Four, everyone could take the class. There's no requirement. Since the class leader must certanly be qualified to Level Four in order to show the class It is section of Level Four. Similarly, there is no prerequisite to start work in individual sessions with a ZenCai Instructor. While some programs do have requirements, the student do not need to take programs in a single pre- scribed order.
